This THERMOBIO medical grade infrared thermometer is really easy to use and accurate. Using Infrared means there is no physical contact, ideal if measuring an adults or child’s temperature. I had been using oral digital thermometer for many years, and although fairly accurate it always took time to get a reading and required a good clean before use by anyone else. With this infrared thermometer it remains clean and the measurements are instant and consistently accurate, I did check it against an expensive wall mounted infrared forehead thermometer and the readings were almost identical. The temperature reading can be shown in either degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The backlight makes the screen easy to read in any lighting condition. Also, the backlight acts as a visual indicator in that it will change to a red backlight if the temperature is high. Theres a button allows the thermometer be switch between measuring the temperature of the forehead, or household objects. Overall, this is an excellent infrared thermometer with all the essential functions. It’s a very accurate thermometer, a little pricey, maybe this is down to having 3 ultra-sensitive German sensors. This digital thermometer comes in a solid card box that can be used for storing it when it is not in use. I thought that the middle of the box slid out, but fortunately, before I had dismantled the box trying to open it, I discovered that the front and one side of the box fold up to allow access. Magnets built into the box allow it to be neatly closed again. Insi the box you get the infrared thermometer, two Duracell AAA batteries, a user manual and a quick start guide. The infrared thermometer feels reasonably solid. While the instructions and quick start guide are generally clear, use of the thermometer is mostly very intuitive. You can toggle whether it beeps when you take a reading, and you can choose between showing temperatures in Centigrade or Fahrenheit. You pull a ‘trigger’ to take a temperature reading which is quick and easy. The ‘M’ button allows you to see previous readings. Maybe I am misunderstanding the instructions, but I only seem to be able to see the most recent reading, while the instructions say that I should be able to toggle through the last 32. There is also a button to switch between measuring forehead temperature and measuring the temperature of other objects. The significance of this is that this allows it to highlight high or low temperatures for a person, that clearly don’t have the same significance for an object. The buttons are small and rubbery so can be a little bit fiddly. I took multiple temperature readings for myself during a morning, and they were consistently the same value plus or minus 0.1 degrees C which I would expect. I did not try a comparison with any other thermometer. There is no on/off button but it does turn off automatically after about 30 seconds. This seems like a good option for home use.

Design and Build Quality: The build is all plastic and very light. It has a pistol style, firing the emitter towards the patient's forehead and displaying the results on the facing screen. The display is nice and clear. There is a pistol trigger to initiate a reading and a panel of buttons under the screen for memory function, home and human toggles and another to change the reading from fahrenheit to celsius. The handle has a moulded, ergonomic design and very comfortable to hold. The Product in Use: Operation is simple - point the device at the patient's forehead and depress the trigger until it makes a plastic click and the device beeps. The display then shows the temperature. No need to touch the skin and the result is much quicker than the traditional thermometer under the tongue and more hygienic to boot. Storage is great. The batteries slot into the handle behind a hinged door but I will store them separate in the box so they don't degrade inside the device. Conclusion: A handy, hygienic and effective thermometer. Recommended.

Un thermomètre frontal extrêmement simple d'usage car il suffit d'appuyer sur la touche de prise de température et la lecture est instantanée, c'est son gros avantage, pas besoin de relire une notice pour s'en sortir et quand on en a besoin, on a autre chose à penser ... La lecture est précise au 10ème de degré, ensuite est-ce que la valeur est digne de ce nom ? en fait elle est comme toute lecture frontale, sujette à la façon de la prendre. En effet il faut bien viser (on n'a pas de rayon lumineux), être bien en face au niveau de la tempe, dans le prolongement du sourcil, c'est là que c'est le plus fidèle (moins de 0,2° d'écart avec une prise rectale sensée donner le meilleur résultat). Donc, plus que le produit lui-même qui semble être précis, c'est la façon de mesurer qui risque de fausser la valeur et c'est facile de se tromper ... Il faut donc un bon coup de patte avant tout. Pour le reste, la qualité est correcte, c'est du simple, il faut 2 piles LR06 incluses pour l'alimenter, un fonctionnel assez simple, on dispose d'une fonction mémoire pour stocker 32 mesures. Le fond indique 3 couleurs selon des seuils prédéterminés et alertent immédiatement. Un produit simple, efficace et qui va droit au but, difficile de demander mieux, reste à l'utiliser correctement pour ne pas être déçu, il est en plus à noter que l'on peut faire des mesures sur des objets et pas seulement pour du corporel.

This is our second medical grade infra-red thermometer in the house. The first one was bought in 2019 - the COVID era and it still works brilliantly. At that time those thermometers were just coming out and I had paid a premium but now the current price which when I ordered this product, was somewhere around $50, is not the cheapest but in the medium range. The thermometer came neatly packed in its own magnetic lifelong-keeping case with 2 AAA batteries, a quick guide and a manual. It also comes with a 12 month warranty. Since we already have a previous one, being conversant of how these work, I just took a quick look at the quick guide and I did not even need to use the manual. I glanced at the manual latter just out of curiosity. So having these two guides are a great tool for anyone who is new to the infrared world. As you can see from the picture, I have my thermometer set at Celsius which you can do with a toggle button between C and F. There are 3 ultra sensitive sensors to measure temperature and also fever alert feature. The display is big and bright and it has memory storage as well. This is specially great of moms with infants and toddlers because those little ones do not like anything invasive like traditional thermometers. Also, these infrared thermometers display a great accuracy. The other thing I like about this thermometer is the Body/ Object temp measurement in case you need to know the temperature of milk, food etc. I am yet to try this option though it is a great one to have. Overall, the ease that technology has provided us with these days, should be used to the fullest and I am quite glad that now I have this one for upstairs and the old one stays downstairs - less running around in times of need.
