I bought this recently because the old one it has replaced used a 9V battery and for whatever reason the battery and replacements died after a few uses and are expensive to replace. I guess 9V Duracell batteries aren't the quality they once were. This uses 2x AAA batteries which is far more convenient to me given I have lots of rechargeable batteries and so far it's performed really well using the regular batteries that it's supplied with. It's also a bit more compact and fits in a tidy soft bag that it's supplied with along with the batteries. Readings are quick and at first I thought the thermometer was inaccurate due to it's first readings being high. I was feeling unwell at the time though and it was telling me that I had a temperature. A couple of days later when the readings were at normal body temperature, I then realised that it was actually producing fairly accurate readings that I would expect. They're always within .1 degree fahrenheit of the last reading, which seems much better than my last thermometer whose readings could swing half a degree or more taken seconds apart, so I do feel a lot better about the readings this produces.

Como la pantalla está inclinada respecto a donde lo agarras, se ve muy bien la temperatura tomada. Es muy rápido, quizá pasa un segundo desde que está apagado hasta que lanza la medición. Viene con una práctica bolsa para guardarlo (ver fotografía) y es sencillo de usar. Para medir temperatura simplemente apunta el termómetro a la frente de la persona y pulsa el botón azul grande una vez. Emite un pitio al tomar la temperatura, pero se puede quitar esa función con el botón más pequeño que se ve en la tercera fotografía. No le he encontrado ninguna desventaja, salvo quizás el precio.

Molto soddisfatto. Dalla rottura del mio ultimo termometro al mercurio, ormai parecchi anni fa, prima di questo ho acquistato 4 diversi termometri, 3 digitali e uno al galinstan, simile ai vecchi termometri al mercurio. Di questi due erano assolutamente inaffidabili, due invece relativamente affidabili, ma solo facendo la misurazione in bocca tenendoli per almeno 3/4 minuti. Questo appena acquistato è sucuramente il termometro più pratico ed efficiente. È importante però imparare ad usarlo correttamente. Conoscendo bene la mia temperatura normale, ho verificato che per ottenere una misurazione corretta e priva di sensibili oscillazioni provando a misurarla anche più volte di seguito, è necessario puntarlo sempre nello stesso punto (nel mio caso e anche per mia moglie e mio padre sulla parte bassa della fronte, al centro poco sopra le sopracciglia, appena sopra all'incavo del naso) e ad una distanza ben definita (circa 1 cm/1 cm e mezzo dalla pelle). In questo modo la temperatura risulta corretta e costante, con un'oscillazione minima (tipo da 36,6 a 36,7) anche facendo la misurazione più volte. In altri punti, ad esempio sulla tempia, la misurazione cambia e appare un po' più alta. Una volta capito il meccanismo, e considerando che per la misurazione impiega meno di un secondo, posso dire che è sicuramente la soluzione migliore che abbia mai provato. Importante: tenere prima qualche minuto il termometro nello stesso ambiente in cui si fa la misurazione (stessa temperatura), altrimenti la misurazione può risultare un po' alterata.
